Job Description
The Truck Driver job is physically demanding (responsible for loading and unloading at client locations) and requires great attention to detail as well as a strong commitment to safety. Truck drivers must also be willing to engage with customers, listen to their needs, and operate delivery trucks safely in compliance with company and DOT regulations.

Qualifications:
- Leaving the warehouse with a manifest that contains the driver’s name as well as a list of stores to whom deliveries and/or pickups will be made on a regular basis is a good idea.
- People who buy goods from the Truck Driver show a lot of care when they get them.
- After unloading, double-check the seal number with a store employee and account for any shortages, mislabels, or returns.
- Ability to contribute to a team approach by being dynamic, flexible, and upbeat in your dealings with coworkers and customers — can multi-task well
- It is necessary to work outside in all weather conditions.
- The day of a truck driver is separated into two parts: driving and other operations such as delivery, handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer interaction, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
- Handheld computers are utilized for client transaction paperwork as well as compliance demands including Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, and trip reports, among others. Truck drivers follow a computer-generated delivery plan called Route and Sequence.
- We will be loading and unloading things by hand and with heavy machines, therefore you must be able to lift 75 pounds on a daily basis.
- The ideal candidate will always put safety first and use correct PPE.
- Performs and submits reports Inspections before and after the journey recognizing and communicating to supervisors any flaws or inadequacies
Skills:
- It is essential that you have two years of driving experience or that you have completed a truck driver training school course.
- It is necessary to have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) as well as the ability to operate transportation equipment safely (e.g., tractor-trailer combinations).
- To grasp, provide, and receive instruction, you must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- The standards of the Department of Transportation must be understood, and BC driving criteria must be satisfied.
- Ability to pass any background checks and/or drug tests that may be necessary as part of the contract
