Job Description
The Technical Services team, which is in charge of managing technical event production, video production, and photography, includes a videographer. All videos that are produced must be recorded and edited, which is mostly the responsibility of the videographer. In addition to facilitating video equipment repair and maintenance, the videographer maintains safe working conditions, offers the necessary production management, and ensures that the video production and end output are done effectively. Strong work ethics, good organizational abilities, the capacity to build and maintain constructive, cooperative relationships with all artistic parties (programming staff, actors, etc.), as well as with support staff, board members, and volunteers, are essential to achieving this.

Qualifications:
- The crew and the location staff work together to organize and document the shoot’s setup in advance.
- Uses videography, production, and post-production abilities to organize, manage, and document video shoots.
- Establishes, in advance of filming dates, the lighting, sound, backdrops, and other requirements for video productions.
- Aids in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of the video genre palette.
- Collaborates with the folks over in Technical Services to help out with video production and editing.
- Helps other Technical Services team members as needed with duties that are not connected to video.
- Coordinates media ingest scheduling and coverage plans with the Director of Multimedia and the Media Coordinator.
- within predetermined financial constraints and in consultation with the Technical Director, purchases, leases, and/or borrows equipment as needed.
- Provides guidance to appropriate staff on technical requirements for each event and the proper operation of all necessary technical components.
- makes suggestions for major video equipment purchases to the Technical Director and the Deputy Director of Operations.
Skills:
- Applicants should have at least five years of professional experience in digital and multi-media fields such videography and video editing or a related field and preferably a bachelor’s degree in such a field.
- A track record of addressing sensitive matters discreetly.
- Competence in mentoring and/or coordinating with external and internal partners and part-time members of the video production team.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse array of on-camera talent, team members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Talent for thriving in and adjusting to a dynamic, multi-department team environment.
