The role of Truck Driver is physically demanding (responsible for loading and unloading at client locations), and it requires precise attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. Truck drivers must also be willing to engage with customers, listen to their needs, and operate delivery trucks safely while adhering to business and DOT requirements.

Qualifications:
- It is necessary to work outside in all kinds of weather.
- Ability to contribute to a team approach by being dynamic, flexible, and pleasant in your dealings with coworkers and customers – multitasking skills
- A truck driver’s day is made up of roughly 30% delivery, handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
- Verify the seal number with a store representative and account for any shortages, mislabels, or returns after unloading.
- Organizes and reports on Before and after a trip, inspections are performed to document and communicate any flaws or deficiencies to supervisors.
- As the Truck Driver delivers goods to customers, he makes sure to give good service to everyone who gets them.
- The ideal applicant will always prioritize safety and wear the proper PPE.
- Leave the warehouse with a manifest that includes the driver’s name and a list of stores to whom deliveries and/or pickups will be made on a regular basis.
- There is a lot of paper work that needs to be done for clients and for government regulations. All of this is done with handheld computers. Following a Route and Sequence delivery plan made by a computer, truck drivers deliver goods.
- Throughout the day, we’ll be loading and unloading things by hand and with heavy equipment, so you’ll need to regularly lift 75 pounds or more.
Skills:
- A valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, as well as the ability to properly operate transportation equipment (e.g., tractor-trailer combinations).
- Ability to pass any background checks and/or drug tests required by the contract.
- Have at least two years of driving experience or have successfully completed a truck driver training school course.
- The DOT regulations must be known, as well as the BC driving rules.
- You must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently in order to understand, offer, and receive guidance.
