Job Description
A banker works on the front lines of the bank, assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other banking operations. Bankers are responsible for delivering excellent customer service and, where necessary, assisting or sending customers to the right team member. At every opportunity, all customer-facing staff should make every effort to improve customer relationships.

Qualifications:
- Advising the customer on the best course of action to better his or her financial status, or referring the client to the most appropriate persons to satisfy their needs.
- Maintain a wide grasp of branch operations to ensure that all rules and procedures are adhered to.
- In order to meet with clients on a frequent basis, you must maintain a professional appearance and a well-organized workstation.
- As needed, buy and sell money from the vault to keep teller drawer cash limitations under control.
- You may learn more about the customer’s objectives by asking appropriate questions and listening to their responses.
- Check the endorsement, obtain proper identification, and verify that the check is valid.
- Assures the safety of the bank’s assets by accurately identifying customers, maintaining the confidentiality of customer information, balancing at the end of each workday, and creating suitable reports summarizing daily activities.
- Carrying out a wide range of activities as required in the branch or department, including but not limited to: bank deposits and cash recovery, opening and shutting the office and vault, report preparation, and any other job functions that are necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Handle all traditional financial transactions that customers provide in person, by drive-up, night depository, mail, or digital means.
- For the Bank’s overall sales operations, consumer banking products and related services are marketed directly to clients.
Skills:
- Be well-informed about the obligations that are directly connected to retail divisions (deposit operations, client care, records management, etc.)
- Applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- To succeed in this position, you must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining a nice demeanor and professionalism.
- 12 to 18 months of customer engagement and sales experience is required, with banking experience preferred.
- The equipment and applications for the teller machine, calculator, keyboard, encoder, image capture/scanner, Oscar (ATM cards), SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex will all be discussed.
