Qualifications:
- Mix and evaluate various products to aid with batch changes, root-cause investigations or the assessment of new products, Analytical methodologies for raw materials, in-process materials, and final product materials should be used.
- High-Complexity testing is only performed under the supervision of a technologist, or with the results reviewed by a supervisor or manager, Recognizes crucial, abnormal, and unsatisfactory test findings and follows-up according to established standards.
- As a technician, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks around the lab such as buffer preparation, equipment maintenance, lab cleanliness, inventory management, and coordinating these tasks with your colleagues.
- There is a possibility that chromatography column packing, cycle studies, stability studies, material creation, and some analytical assistance will be added to the list of responsibilities (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE).
- Preparing, weighing, and destroying samples, and then returning the findings to laboratory experts, Assistance to Regulatory Laboratories employees throughout the study set-up and spike phases, as well as sample preparation and analysis when those phases are complete.
- Using defined competence and workstation operating criteria, assists with the training and orientation of new workers, students, and residents. Monitors and maintains supplies for the tasks for which the job is accountable; makes cost-effective use of materials and reagents.
- Complete acquaintance with the Lab Scope and all accompanying lab paperwork and procedures
- Maintains lab equipment in excellent working condition and does additional jobs as specified, both as part of a team and on his or her own.
- To protect oneself, colleagues, the environment, and the safety of the community, one must guarantee that all work programs have proper safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping.
- Analyses and presents data in formal and informal contexts, making recommendations where appropriate. Results are examined and published with minimal oversight.
Skills:
- Being ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in tens and hundredths of a number. Ability to do these procedures in American units of currency, weight, volume, and distance.
- Words with two and three syllables, as well as the capacity to recognize the similarities and differences between word and numerical sequences. Communication skills that include writing and speaking in simple terms.
- At least 12 semester units of Chemistry or Bacteriology are preferred. One-year lab experience
- Hands and arms often used to touch, handle, or feel items, tools, or controls; converse or hear; taste or smell Employees stand, stroll, and sit. The worker must lift 25 pounds routinely.
- 1-2 years of closely comparable experience, ideally in manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience A four-year college or university bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline is required.
