Job Description

The Media Buyer will be responsible for creating, releasing, optimizing, and reporting on digital media campaigns that span several demand-side platforms (DSPs), search engines, social networks, and direct channels. In addition, this person will offer insights about the campaign that internal teams and key stakeholders can use. Throughout the entirety of the digital media purchasing lifecycle, digital media buyers and strategists collaborate closely with Clients and Publishers to provide outstanding service. Offline marketing expertise is a plus.

  • Maintains client budgets within acceptable limits while achieving goals.
  • Ongoingly updates Supervisor on the status of existing accounts and escalates all issues in a timely manner.
  • Keeps track of all media purchases and is ultimately accountable for post-purchase results and continuous reporting.
  • With assistance from Ad Operations, completes the setup and deployment of all campaign tracking before launching a campaign.
  • Helps inform the creation of all reporting dashboards and is integral in pulling insights and key performance for all client reporting meetings.
  • Responsible for campaign creation, management, and optimization across several platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon, Pinterest, and others.
  • Take charge in coordinating solutions with the rest of the finance staff to iron out any media billing kinks.
  • Builds relationships and maintains ongoing communications with media representatives.
  • knows about all the latest media openings and trends.
  • Plans acquisitions with maximum efficiency by considering projections, account segmentation, bid management, goal delivery, and vendor agreements.


  • Comprehensive understanding of the online world, including the language and concepts of the advertising industry.
  • Quick thinking and the ability to adapt are essential in this fast-paced setting.
  • Complete familiarity with online media metrics is necessary for striking the best possible bargaining position.
  • Having the ability to work successfully with other departments and teams inside the company, including those responsible for Creative, Account Management, Finance, and Project Management.
  • Capability to interact effectively within a team setting, with members of the external media, and with current customers.
