Job Description
The Asset Manager’s job is to oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term plans for the company’s data centers and public cloud assets. The Asset Manager role is the primary point of responsibility for the lifecycle management of IT assets within the enterprise. Asset Portfolio management includes a wide range of responsibilities that include the formulation of policies, standards, procedures as well as systems that help the company achieve its business goals in terms of risk management and control. The Asset Manager will work with all departments involved in the acquisition, implementation, administration, and expenditure reporting of IT assets, and will employ integrated software solutions.

Qualifications:
- Use cash flow forecasts to recommend capital calls and dividends to investors. Keep escrow and operating cash accounts well funded to prevent overdrafts.
- Improve the usability of underutilized technological assets to get the most out of your investment and maximize your return on it.
- Make a simulation of all aspects of an asset’s life cycle, from acquisition through disposal, including the potential returns to investors under different conditions. Overseeing all aspects of the company’s budget, planning, and forecasting.
- Preparing and presenting information to county staff and the general public. The county’s representative on many boards, committees, and groups linked to infrastructure asset management is possible.
- Identify, develop, and execute strategic business strategies for each asset that will control its day-to-day operations, market position, and eventual sale.
- Implement protocols and procedures for monitoring and evaluating technical and financial data related to corporate hardware from the time of purchase until the time of retirement.
- Keep a close eye on customer service for the company’s present tenants. Leasing agents, solicitors, and bankers with a strong network can assist in lease negotiations with high-profile tenants.
- Infrastructure asset management best practices are being promoted throughout the Public Works Department in a strategic and practical manner. This includes providing training to ensure that asset management software is used and functioned optimally.
- For the sake of accuracy, a configuration management database (CMDB) should be used to store asset data, such as serial numbers and identification tags.
- Loan pre-payments, balloon payments, and maturing loans are scrutinized for affordability preservation and prospective Business Development refinancing opportunities.
Skills:
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Able to use MS Office and the internet (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- There is a five-year minimum work experience requirement for this position, as well as a one-year supervisory experience requirement. Alternatively, you may have a similar mix of education and experience that gives you with the knowledge and skills needed for the job.
- It’s essential to work together with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and other cross-functional groups.
- People who have worked in a contract management or purchasing and procurement job have had direct experience with all of the parts of strategy development and implementation.
- English proficiency is required at a level that permits the employee to understand and express information so that job tasks may be completed safely and efficiently.
