Job Description
The Industrial Hygienist is responsible for identifying, eliminating, evaluating, and controlling workplace and environmental stressors and hazards that might lead to worker or community illness, poor health or well-being, or considerable discomfort and inefficiency.

Qualifications:
- In order to remove or manage physical circumstances, operational methods, or other elements that pose unwarranted hazards to human health and safety, conduct professional safety evaluations or inspections. Proposes and coordinates measures to be taken in response to the results.
- Customer crisis management involves inspecting specific workplaces to verify that the required risk reduction methods are in place and giving current data on the state of those workplaces and procedures offered as well as stressing critical risks or trends.
- Review pertinent toxicological and safety data for chemicals utilized in Tesla’s labs and provide suggestions for exposure management and evaluation.
- Develop and present Total Quality improvement initiatives, as well as IDEA and PACE programs, to demonstrate the attributes of Total Quality.
- Organize and carry out a ventilation study. This includes choosing and calibrating instruments, measuring performance, analyzing data, and comparing it to applicable standards.
- Communicate with your employees on the importance of incident prevention, industrial hygiene and environmental compliance.
- Construct industrial and administrative workplace hazard characterizations that include worker demographics, procedures, hazards, and control measures (where applicable).
- Management of complete exposure assessments, industrial hygiene surveys/analyses, and the creation of industrial hygiene reports are all responsibilities.
- Using the most up-to-date understanding of industrial hygiene legislation, federal, state, and municipal standards, consult with upper-level management and project representatives.
- Effectively carry out sample plans, which include the selection of analytic techniques, the selection and calibration of equipment, the design and implementation of laboratory interfaces, and the analysis of the data collected.
Skills:
- sophisticated scientific grasp of IH rules, standards and concepts; working knowledge of important IH practices and applications.
- Extensive experience in written and spoken communication, as well as a track record of effectively delivering good client presentations and creating written reports
- Comprehensive medical surveillance and related program administration knowledge, including medical clearance for respirator usage, audiometry, and substance-specific testing.
- Two or more years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in one of the following technical fields: Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Health, Occupational Health or a closely related physical or biological science
- Practical knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation in order to ensure compliance with the BMBL, OSHA standards and other related guidelines and laws.
