Job Description
The HR Specialist will be in charge of a wide range of responsibilities, including managing a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees in regards to human resources-related activities, policies, processes, and procedures, particularly Leave of Absence.

Qualifications:
- Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts in coordination with the centralized team to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruitment targets. Ensures a positive candidate experience, while also ensuring managers are satisfied.
- Performs new employee onboarding, which involves data entry into the HR Information System and orientation. Ensures that data is entered correctly and that staff are well-versed in the company’s policies and procedures, including the information in the employee handbook.
- When communicating with internal and external partners, clients/customers, the ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy is essential.
- Prepares regular and special reports by doing essential trend analysis and identifying high-priority problem areas with a little margin for error.
- Employees are educated on the company’s human resources rules and procedures (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
- Leave of absence processing and compliance with federal, state, and municipal standards are handled by this position.
- You’ll be able to engage staff and rapidly resolve difficulties while being professional and tactful. When required, you should raise issues with management. On behalf of the organization, this position’s aim is to provide facility management, regional HR, and corporate HR with insight into employee concerns or complaints.
- Maintains records of insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and other personnel and payroll issues.
- Processes performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in a timely and approved manner in the Company’s HR information system.
- Answers employee personnel questions and inputs, updates, additions, and removals into the HR Information System as needed. Reports uncommon or unsolved issues to the HR Manager, who will take appropriate action.
Skills:
- Candidates must have a strong willingness to learn and develop their abilities on a constant basis, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and leadership, in order to be considered for this position.
- Excellent communication skills
- Listens intently to consumers’ concerns and tries to resolve them openly.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, labor relations, employment law, or another related field is required.
- The principles, procedures, and processes of human resource management must be well understood.
