Job Description

The HR Specialist will be in charge of a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources-related activities, policies, processes, and procedures, particularly Leave of Absence.

Qualifications:

  • Orients new workers to the HR Information System and performs data input into the HR Information System. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that data is entered accurately and thoroughly, and that workers are aware of all company regulations and procedures, including those included in the employee handbook.
  • Regular and special reports benefit greatly from trend analysis, which identifies problem areas with little opportunity for error and a high degree of relevance.
  • Performs performance evaluations, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in the Company’s human resources information system in a timely and within authorized permitted basis.
  • Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruiting targets in coordination with the centralized team. Ensures a positive experience for candidates as well as hiring managers.
  • Processes leave of absences in the Company’s timekeeping system, ensuring FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local standards are met.
  • The HR Generalist will be in charge of employee issues and complaints, as well as maintaining continual communication with facility management and Corporate HR. The main goal is to ensure that all of the company’s employees have good working connections.
  • Having the capacity to communicate confidently with internal and external partners, clients/customers, and other stakeholders is critical when talking with them.
  • Employees are informed on the company’s human resources policies and processes (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
  • Responds to employee personnel enquiries and enters, edits, Adds, and deletes appropriate information into the HR Information System. Reports any odd or unresolved issues to the HR Manager for follow-up.
  • It also keeps track of personnel issues such as recruitment, promotions, transfers and other personnel and payroll issues.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • An in-depth knowledge of human resources ideas, techniques, and procedures is required.
  • An eager problem-solver who pays great attention to client cues and strives to resolve conflicts with grace and honesty.
  • A college or university degree in human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a similar field is required.
  • The applicant must have a strong willingness to learn and improve his skills on a regular basis, as well as a strong sense of leadership and responsibility.
