Job Description

This Human Resources (HR) Specialist role is a technical specialist who provides a unique service to the Company through specialized knowledge, skill, and experience. HR Specialists provide paraprofessional support in areas like as recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, employee relations, regulatory reporting requirements, benefits administration, and other areas as needed under limited supervision.

  • Performs new employee onboarding, which involves data entry into the HR Information System and orientation. Ensures that data is entered correctly and thoroughly, and that staff are well-versed in the company’s policies and procedures, including the information in the employee handbook.
  • Keeps track of insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions like hiring, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and other personnel and payroll issues.
  • When communicating with internal and external partners as well as clients/customers, the ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy is essential.
  • Completed performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in the Company’s human resources information system on time and within permitted authority.
  • Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruiting targets in coordination with the centralized team. Ensures a positive experience for candidates as well as hiring managers.
  • Responsible for processing FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and municipal leave requests in the company’s timekeeping system.
  • Regular and special reports are generated using vital trend analysis and issue identification with a small margin of error and high priority.
  • Workers are made aware of the company’s human resources policy through a series of training sessions (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
  • You’ll be able to engage staff and rapidly resolve difficulties while being professional and tactful. When required, you should raise issues with management. On behalf of the organization, this position’s aim is to provide facility management, regional HR, and corporate HR with insight into employee concerns or complaints.
  • Worker inquiries and updates are entered into the HR Information System if necessary in response. Notifies the HR Manager of any unexpected or unresolved problems.


  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are required.
  • Listens intently to consumers’ concerns and tries to resolve them openly.
  • Human resource principles, policies, procedures, and basic employment rules must all be fully comprehended.
  • The applicant must have a strong willingness to learn and develop his abilities, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
  • Human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a related subject requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
