Job Description
The Chemical Engineer is expected to work with the Engineering Leader and project teams to define and implement the most effective chemical process technology, providing technical solutions and process engineering expertise, on capital projects, technology implementation projects, productivity, quality, and cost improvement projects. The chemical process requires technology adoption, capacity improvements, technical developments, cost and energy efficiency gains, sound production practises, and adherence to Process Safety requirements. This role also involves working with Project Managers to guarantee that the project team’s cost and timeline objectives are accomplished.

Qualifications:
- Make recommendations on ways to upgrade existing equipment to increase product quality or operational safety.
- Management should be notified of any safety concerns.
- Review production history on a regular basis to identify areas where efficiency, quality, and waste reduction could be improved.
- At work, be a positive role model and influence.
- Color schemes are put to the test, as are colour compositions and approaches.
- All safety protocols should be supported and followed.
- Real-time support for operations workers dealing with technological issues.
- With the support of other technical resources or by yourself, troubleshoot and discover solutions to long-term or recurring difficulties.
- Assist in the administration of plant operations.
- Identifying and selecting the most effective techniques and approaches from a wide range of options.
Skills:
- If you’ve dealt with electrochemistry or metal plating before, that’s a plus.
- It’s important to show that you know how to conduct quality scientific research and develop experiments.
- Strong acids, bases, oxidizers, reducers, and other concentrated or hazardous chemical handling and dilution knowledge.
- Working knowledge of printed circuit boards.
- Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or Biochemical Engineering bachelor’s degree is necessary.
