Security Officers operate as visual deterrents, intervene, and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs, including acts of violence or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety concerns. This work requires specialized training as well as physical fitness. All duties must be completed in accordance with the policies, procedures, and practices of the department and the property.

Qualifications:

• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
• Walking/standing for long periods of time.
• The number of years you have spent in this career will decide your salary.
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment inspections.
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
• Passing the background check and drug test is required
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
