Job Description
A Safety Coordinator assists with the administration and execution of a safety program, coordinates safety activities with other departments, and gives administrative and technical assistance to supervisors and employees to ensure that safety control mechanisms are in place. Ascertain that all federal and state safety rules, regulations, procedures, and protocols are followed.

Qualifications:
- This employment necessitates consistent and predictable attendance, the ability to complete tasks safely, and strict adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and work with management and staff to establish ways to prevent future catastrophes. Implement the plan and keep track of its progress.
- Managers and supervisors are counselled and assisted in establishing a safe working environment. Purchase, utilize, and install safety or hazard control equipment is recommended.
- Assist in the implementation of the project’s safety plan and zero-accident culture (s)
- Assist with the updating and auditing of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Processes (SOPs), and Lockout Procedures, as well as ensuring that staff are appropriately taught in them.
- Hearing conservation, chemical inventory/control, hazardous communications/SDS, ergonomics, and other programs are developed and implemented. Schedules yearly audiometric testing and delivers or arranges for it.
- Employees, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders are counselled and provided technical help on issues such as worker’s compensation and fitness for duty decision.
- Ensures that all required safety-related equipment and system testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are carried out on time. Ascertains that flaws are evaluated for ILSM risk and dealt with in line with policy.
- Assess the workplace for hazards on a regular basis and install hazard controls before an accident happens. Determine whether any employees are participating in potentially dangerous safety behaviors and, if so, whether more training is necessary.
- Safety meetings are attended and led by him. On a monthly basis, plan, prepare, and present or organize the delivery of safety-related training to various departments.
