Job Description

The radiologist provides high-quality pictures and examinations while respecting patient requirements. Safely uses radiation. Leads by example for other associate technicians. Direct patient care includes testing, preparing for physical examinations, lab draws, evaluating and triaging patients, and monitoring clinical supply inventory. Completes business and patient care documents. Assists unit staff and ensures current practice standards.

Qualifications:

  • Determine whether or not pain is interfering with the imaging procedure, then contact the right physician for assistance and begin the PI process.
  • Maintains medical and surgical aseptic procedures and performs effective infection control measures; is able to provide a comprehensive explanation of the universal precaution concept;
  • Offers all the services needed to safely and quickly finish a patient’s procedure. Keeps up-to-date on cardiac concepts and clinical practices, immobilizes patients as needed, and follows safety procedures for radiation.
  • Assists doctors during interventional procedures and offers diagnostic assistance by doing organ or body scans on patients. Accurately places and positions patients, and picks anatomical and technical factors.
  • An exam’s patient ID, date, technologist id and exam time must all be clearly documented in order to ensure proper documentation. While in transportation and during surgery, patients are protected. Observance of regulations established by authorized agencies, states, and the federal government as a whole.
  • In the production and delivery of contrast media and/or drugs, adheres to federal and state requirements. While watching, takes note of the patient’s unusual conduct. Examines procedures and provides ideas for improvements as needed.
  • Has understanding of fundamental and advanced percutaneous treatments, such as peripheral interventions. Must be competent to identify cardiac arrhythmias and react according to emergency procedures, operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator. Intervention in cardiac crises.
  • After patients finish their exams, they are taken to the radiology department where they are put on an x-ray table and told how to breathe and hold their bodies so that the best pictures can be taken.
  • The ability to appropriately charge all exams performed while adhering to the department’s exam regulations is a must.
  • It’s important to ensure that each and every image is noted so that both the patient and the physician know exactly what was found. Images in radiology are categorized by process.

Skills:

  • Diagnostic imaging experts who know about everything, A minimum of two years of experience as a radiologist, though more is better, Training in taking vital signs
  • gotten permission from the right people to do it. To work, you must be a fellow of the American Board of Radiology. Always be a member of the Medical Protective Association (or equivalent).
  • It is essential to register as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R), or Cardiovascular Technician (CVT)) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) (RCIS)
  • State-mandated certification or fluoroscopy permit, Current BCLS certification, familiarity with state and federal standards (AHA), Preferably one year of acute clinical radiography experience, Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES-accredited program
  • Graduated from an accredited medical school or osteopathy school, and currently enrolled in a radiology residency program
