Full-Time Production Planning Analyst – Pio Duran
Job Description
The Reporter will be in charge of monitoring political developments, particularly, but not only, those involving state politics and governance. Both electoral politics and government are included in this. The Reporter will be required to regularly perform enterprise reporting to break exclusive stories, as well as file two to three articles a week on average about news-of-the-day events or topical concerns (e.g., at least every couple of weeks).

Qualifications:

- For use on radio, the web, television, and podcasts, find and create fascinating arts stories.
- Learning how to use online state and federal reporting systems, keeping an eye on and researching public disclosure forms, and submitting requests for public documents are all part of the job description.
- The reporter will be responsible for covering and investigating topics related to the influence of money in politics, including the monitoring of campaign contributions, political action committees, lobbying, and conflicts of interest.
- Work closely with editors and content developers to develop a strategy for covering the arts that lays out your vision in detail.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to represent the station professionally.
- knowledge of the fundamentals of audio production techniques and equipment.
- The ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a plus. Skills with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional journalism experience covering the arts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- expertise in English and the ability to convey complex ideas to a wide audience.
