Full-Time Prep Cook – Jalpaiguri
Job Description
The Cook will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities, including preparing high-quality food products and presenting them in a pleasing manner according to company recipes, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and overseeing all areas to ensure proper food safety guidelines, including daily audits of food stands, kitchens, and food production areas. Associates will maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following basic sanitation procedures.

Qualifications:
- It is important to lift up to 20 pounds, push/pull up to 40 pounds, and carry up to 30 pounds, as well as stand and walk frequently.
- Meets company needs by accommodating scheduling constraints, such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
- In the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef, bears leadership responsibility for maintaining safe and efficient kitchen operations.
- Tastes foods, analyses menus, estimates food requirements, evaluates output, and keeps records to accurately plan production requirements and acquire supplies and equipment.
- Make short- and long-term cash management strategies, as well as monthly and yearly cash flow estimates.
- Assist with cleaning equipment and dishwashing machines as needed to ensure that all kitchen spaces, tools, and utensils are clean.
- A cook is in charge of setting up, food preparation, organization, sanitation, food and beverage item manufacturing, as well as closing and storing individual work stations.
- Arranges and cleans all kitchen spaces, such as storage shelves, passageways, workstations, walk-ins, refrigerators, and coolers.
- Produce high-quality hot and cold foods using the Executive Chef’s recipes.
- The Cook must be meticulous, well-dressed, professional, and a team player who collaborates well.
Skills:
- All HACCP policies and procedures are followed.
- Cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen for at least one year is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a culinary degree is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with a diverse group of managers.
- If you are 18 years old or older, you must be able to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, prior employer, education, and personal references, unless federal, state, or provincial legislation prevents it.
