Job Description
Subordinate to a certified Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant greets customers in person or by phone, processes new and refill prescriptions, prints computerized or written prescription labels, packages and ships prescriptions and pharmaceuticals, and supports pharmacy staff with administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
- Using the batch record provided by the pharmacist, packages and labels sterile and non-sterile items, as well as dosages that are manufactured on the spot.
- Patients’ call slips and claim checks, as well as their health insurance cards and other forms of identification may be used to confirm prescription sales transactions are legitimate.
- Assists in developing a thorough awareness of the product’s market, rivals, customer requirements, distribution methods, and Company offerings.
- Cash, credit, and checks should all be deposited in the exact quantities. At the end of the day, reconcile the register and check for any errors that may have occurred.
- Forms are filled out to get notifications and to order new things when they need to do so. Patient care areas fill in a form to ask for floor stocks. People who work at cost centers get paid, deliveries are checked for expiration dates, and charges are sent to the right cost centers.
- In a manner that embodies the pharmacy’s mission and the organization’s vision, provides appropriate medications, information, and professional services in a helpful, empathetic, pleasant, and efficient manner.
