Qualifications:
- Has knowledge and abilities in simple and sophisticated percutaneous treatments, such as peripheral interventions. Responsible for patient safety, including the ability to diagnose cardiac arrhythmias and react according to emergency procedures, as well as operating an external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator. In the case of a cardiac emergency, intervenes with appropriate treatment.
- Each and every picture should be recorded so that both the patient and the doctor are aware of any findings that may be of interest to them. This determines the order in which radiological pictures are shown.
- Complies with federal and state regulations in the preparation and distribution of contrast media and/or pharmaceuticals. The narrator observes the patient and notices any unusual behavior. Inspects processes and makes suggestions for changes where necessary.
- Patients are greeted and escorted from the exam room to radiology. Positions the patient on the x-ray table as required to produce x-ray images—instructs the patient on how to properly arrange their body, hold their breath, and so on.
- Observes aseptic protocols throughout medical and surgical procedures, uses appropriate infection control strategies, etc.
- Dial a doctor if pain is interfering with the imaging process, and then begin the PI process.

Skills:
- Medical or Osteopathic degree from an accredited medical or osteopathy institution, current residency in radiology
- Experience in Radiology of at least two years is highly desired, as is knowledge of all aspects of diagnostic imaging. Experience taking vital signs is a must.
- registered with the relevant board and holding a valid license. Should be a member in good standing of the American Board of Radiology, A continuing membership in the Medical Protective Association is required (or equivalent).
- Permission to use fluoroscopy and a state-issued license Preferably a year of acute clinical radiography and current BCLS, state and federal regulations (AHA). The JRCERT or ABHES accreditation
- A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), a Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R), or a Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) or a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is necessary (RCIS)
