Job Description

Patients may expect high-quality photos and examinations from a Radiologist who is also sensitive to their individual requirements. Radiation safety guidelines are adhered to. Leads by example and serves as a role model for the other associate technicians in the department. Accurate testing, preparing for physical examinations, blood draws, evaluating and triaging patients, and keeping clinical supply inventory are just some of the responsibilities of a medical assistant. Appropriate documentation is completed and processed for business and tracking patient care. Serves as a clinical resource for the unit’s staff and ensures that the unit’s practice standards are up to date.

Qualifications:

  • In the production and distribution of contrast media and/or drugs, complies with federal and state standards. While watching, takes note of the patient’s odd conduct. Examines procedures and, if required, provides recommendations for improvements.
  • Safe and efficient patient care is provided by the nurse. Radiation safety requirements are strictly adhered to when necessary.. Working knowledge of cardiac principles and clinical processes is essential.
  • Accompanied by an assistant, patients are escorted from their exam rooms to the radiology department, where they are put on an x-ray table and trained on how to hold their breath and position their bodies for the best possible images to be obtained.
  • gives diagnostic assistance to doctors by doing organ or body scans on them and assisting them with therapeutic interventions, Splints are created and placed in place after assessing the patient’s anatomical and technological needs.
  • Maintains adherence to the department’s exam protocols, modifies patient procedures in accordance with the patient’s physical and cognitive capabilities, and accurately bills for all examinations carried out.
  • Monitors image logs sent to radiologist to verify that all findings are communicated to the physician and patient. All radiological pictures are filed according to procedure.
  • Operations, both medical and surgical, are carried out in line with aseptic protocols, making use of appropriate infection control measures, and so on.
  • Peripheral procedures may be performed at the same time as basic percutaneous surgeries. There must be someone who can recognize heart arrhythmias and react to emergency procedures while using an external pacemaker and defibrillator. In the event of a cardiac emergency, the necessary therapy may be administered.
  • Ascertains that all exams are labeled with the patient’s name, date, technologist’s name, and exam time. Patients are covered while in transportation and throughout surgery. Compliance with recognized agencies, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Able to evaluate discomfort interfering with imaging procedure; contacts appropriate physician for help; understands and participates in PI.

Skills:

  • Having expertise in every field related to diagnostic imaging, A minimum of two years of prior experience in Radiology, with the latter being the more desired option. Competence in taking patients’ vital signs
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited medical college and radiology residency.
  • Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or registry eligibility; Registration as a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • Preferably, a year of experience in acute clinical radiography and knowledge of current BCLS, state, and federal regulations. Fluoroscopy certification is necessary (AHA). A certification seal from JRCERT or ABHES may be found.
  • Obtained a license from the right authority. A fellow of the American Board of Radiology is required The Medical Protective Association membership must be maintained at all times (or equivalent).
