The Medical Office Manager is responsible for assisting in the acquisition, administration, and collection of patient service revenue. The attainment of yearly and recurring targets for major statistical indicators of revenue cycle performance as well as for the overall financial performance of the business are critical duties. Qualifications:
- Worked closely with top management to ensure the budget was ready and that operations were aligned with organizational goals and that they met performance and financial objectives.
- By adhering to all system-wide and departmental rules and procedures, ensures patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory agency standards (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, Department of Health, etc.).
- You will assist physicians and patients with a range of patient care management, organizing, and communication duties.
- recruits, trains, and manages assigned people at satellite facilities, including responsibility for performance assessments, merit raises, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensuring the fast settlement of all payment appeals from the Provider Dispute Process and working with external payer organizations to resolve reimbursement issues
- Ensures adequate amounts of office and medical supplies are kept on hand, as needed. Ensures the clinic’s budget is properly planned and implemented.
- Establishes a friendly working environment that promotes collaboration among the medical staff, the medical staff service department, and the rest of the hospital’s medical staff. Professionalism and a commitment to provide high-quality service are required in all aspect of the work.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of medical offices and clinic locations, as well as the coordination of work activities. Schedules and call-offs are managed by this position. Responsible for ensuring that medical professionals and patients have enough office space and supplies as well as maintenance of medical equipment and other resources.
- Ensure that a variety of financial projections are prepared, including payroll and direct spending for cost centers, month-end accounting, receivables levels (including days in A/R and aging), and any long-term strategic goals for the department.
- Produce and verify financial report requests directly with information technology, ensuring that they are accurate and legitimate.
Skills:
- Understanding of the rules and procedures of the company and the capacity to apply concepts to various challenges encountered on a daily basis
- Patient registration, billing, accounts receivable (AR), and cash management requirements, as well as health insurance processes, business office operations, and industry norms for revenue resolution solutions, should all be familiar to the applicant.
