Job Description

The Inventory Controller is a vital part of the surgical team and is responsible for patient supplies and operating supplies for Pre-Op, Day Surgery Unit, and PACU while staying under budget. The Inventory Controller uses OR schedule, preference cards, and purchasing history to predict surgical requirements. He/she works with management to support par levels. The Inventory Controller ensures PeopleSoft carts and integration page are correct. These maintain par levels and feed supplies to the OR medical record and surgeon preference lists to help discover goods. The inventory controller alerts personnel about product changes. The Inventory Controller builds connections with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and nursing staff. He/she supplies required materials for optimal patient care and contributes to patient, department, and company objectives.

  • SAP’s inventory differences between DLX and SAP are reconciled with all prior 24-hour inventory movements.   • Using a computer to input inventory data into an ERP system is recommended. Intake and distribution of materials. If necessary, modify the stock of supplies. In order to make informed judgments on the accuracy or state of inventory in diverse places, use a computer to evaluate data.
  • To ensure the shipping and receiving operation works well, you’ll lead inventory control strategies and processes, manage shipping and receiving discrepancies, and resolve reporting problems. Ensure that all areas/shift reporting, such as consumption and returns, and standard work standards, including K-LEAN, are followed and improved. To establish daily inventory balances for raw and packed goods, you will work with the plant finance and procurement divisions. You’ll also assist the receiving and shipping warehouse workers with inventory cycle counting (each SKU has different cycle count requirements)
  • Daily and/or periodic inventory measurements are gathered, confirmed, and reported to ensure inventory health. Determine the fundamental cause, whether it’s a process or a habit, and record your findings for operational analysis.

  • The individual must be able to stand, walk, sit, speak, and hear in order to do this work. For moving the items, it is expected that the employee would utilize both arms as well as their hand and arm to reach. This position necessitates the frequent movement and lifting of up to 100 pounds by the individual in question. Merchandise and delivery paperwork must be visually examined by them.
  • A high school diploma from an approved institution or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with appropriate professional experience Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration connected to the inventory management system’s inventory location system
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities are shown. Professional, respectful, straightforward, and succinct communication style. Surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the health care team may work together effectively.
  • Individuals must be able to read and interpret documents such as product tickets and delivery documentation. This professional must possess the necessary communication skills to train warehouse delivery personnel on inventory.
