When working with a cash drawer and as a Retail Banker, the Banker is accountable for following all bank line and banker protocols. Complete all of the compliance modules that have been assigned to you. Active engagement in sales and attainment of management’s financial and branch goals. Qualifications:
- Directly offer consumer banking products and services to consumers in order to help the Bank’s overall sales effort.
- As needed, perform a number of jobs at the branch or department, such as bank deposits/cash recovery, opening/closing the office and vault, report writing, and any other job responsibilities that assist the department run smoothly.
- Advising the customer on the best course of action to take to improve their financial status.
- As required, buy and sell money from the vault to keep bank drawer cash limits in check.
- To obtain a deeper knowledge of the customer’s goals, ask appropriate questions and listen to their responses.
- Assures the safety of the bank’s assets by accurately identifying customers, maintaining the confidentiality of customer information, balancing at the end of each workday, and creating suitable reports summarizing daily activities.
- Maintaining a professional look and maintaining a well-organized workstation will assist you in preparing for everyday interactions.
- To be safe, make sure the check is authentic and verify the endorsement and proper identity.
- Handle all traditional financial transactions given by customers in person, at a drive-up window, at a night depository, by mail, or by digital means.
- To ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, maintain a detailed grasp of the branch’s activities.
Skills:
- Customer relations, accuracy, speed, detail, flexibility and judgement, as well as a pleasant, professional demeanor and the ability to execute many tasks, are the most important qualities of this job.
- Teller machines, calculators, keyboards, encoders, image capture/scanners, Oscar (ATM cards), SEI Trust System, Streamline, and Vertex equipment and applications will be covered by the banker.
- It is desirable that you have one year of retail or sales experience.
- Know the roles of retail divisions that directly affect your employment (deposit operations, client care, records management, etc.)
- A minimum of 12 to 18 months of customer engagement and sales experience is required, with banking experience being preferred.
