- Conducts research on medical aspects’ coding/billing messages sent to the clinic and provides timely responses to all inquiries.
- Timely communication with directors, managers, and committee members can be ensured by typing memorandums, letters, position summaries, flowcharts, graphs, deviation reports, and policies and procedures.
- helps to finish the “”end of day balancing/closing”” process and prepare the deposits for courier pickup.
- Calls are prioritized and transferred as needed based on urgency.
- Copayments, deductibles, and account balances are collected and charges are posted.
- Patients should be checked out, and follow-up visits should be scheduled. Collect all relevant documentation as well.
- Makes referral appointments when required or as directed by the provider.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, faxing, and assembling projects as required.
- Reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting are all part of maintaining equipment and medical supplies.
- Filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration are just few examples of the administrative or clerical tasks you could be asked to complete.
- Ability to work well under pressure and independently make judgments is required.
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred.
- Requires independent thought, sound judgment, and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Preference is given to applicants with a high school diploma and one year of medical assistant training.
- The ability to utilize a computer, printer, and fax machine is essential to this position.
