- According to the level of urgency, calls are routed to the appropriate department.
- Equipment and medical supplies require regular upkeep, including restocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Conducts research on medical aspects’ coding/billing messages sent to the clinic and provides timely responses to all inquiries.
- helps to finish “”end of day balancing/closing”” and get deposits ready for courier pickup.
- Type memoranda, letters, position summaries, flowcharts, graphs, deviation reports, and policies and procedures to keep directors, managers, and committee members up-to-date.
- Appointment setting, patient check-out, and data collection are all part of this role.
- Schedules referral appointments as required or per the provider’s instructions.
- Carries out clerical or administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering data, and registering patients.
- To record charges and complete documentation, including collecting copayments, deductibles, and account balances.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, photocopying, collating, and project assembly, as required.
- requires creative problem solving and the ability to work with minimal oversight.
- Must be able to function in a demanding atmosphere and make the necessary decisions.
- Applicants having a diploma from an accredited high school and a year of experience working as a medical assistant will be given priority.
- An assistant for a medical office with at least three years’ experience is preferred.
- Personal computers, printers, and fax machines are needed for this position.
