Job Description
In your role as a Machinist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment. Aside from your regular duties, you’ll be in charge of maintaining the building’s overall safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications:
- Problems with tools, materials, software, equipment, or parts specs should be investigated and remedied. Recognize and propose improvements to machine performance by altering component specifications.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment to guarantee appropriate and safe operation by installing maintenance, repaired or replacement components.
- Follow safe work practices such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (PPE)
- Collaborate with programming engineering to communicate technical knowledge relevant to the production of high-quality components.
- Plans and organizes work based on instructions and specifications provided orally and in writing.
- Make sure all of the finished products are free of flaws and fulfill all required requirements by conducting a thorough examination.
- The machinist sets up and operates manual and CNC machine tools, as well as executes basic shop calculations related to job dimensions, tooling, feeds, and milling speeds, using a wide range of machinist’s hand tools and accurate measurement equipment.
- Maintaining and running equipment such as lathes and mills is essential in this role.
- To manufacture a defined quantity of component components, undertake sophisticated progressive turning, drilling, milling, and tapping operations.
- Analyze sample components, blueprints, drawings, and engineering data to establish fabrication processes and sequences of activities, as well as product dimensions and tolerances.
Skills:
- Two years of appropriate job experience, or an associate’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or machining, for example.
- This profession requires a grasp of industrial machine technology as well as the ability to work with a range of metals.
- A machinist who is able to operate in temperatures up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit is needed for this role.
- Precision tools (e.g. calipers, Micrometers, Drop Gages and Gage blocks) may be used to obtain exact measurements.
- Practical knowledge of manual, semi-automatic, and automated equipment and machines, as well as programming (lathes, grinders etc.)
