Job Description
A radiologist assists the doctor during percutaneous peripheral vascular treatments. The radiologist will scrub and monitor hemodynamics during vascular catheterizations utilizing clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment. Care evaluation before, during, and after procedures. Maintains procedure-related information.

Qualifications:
- Prepares and gives out contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and state and federal regulations, Watches the patient during the procedure and reports anything out of the ordinary. Monitors protocols and suggests changes or improvements when they are needed.
- Ascertains that all exams are labeled with the patient’s name, date, technologist’s name, and exam time. Patients are covered while in transportation and throughout surgery. Compliance with recognized agencies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- While accompanying the patients between exam rooms and x-ray, the radiographer instructs the patients on how to hold their breath and position their bodies for the best possible x-ray images. X-ray techs.
- Maintains compliance with the department’s exam protocols, adapts patient treatments based on the patient’s physical and cognitive capabilities, and bills properly for all exams performed.
- Maintains medical and surgical aseptic procedures and performs effective infection control measures; is able to provide a comprehensive explanation of the universal precaution concept;
- Assists doctors during interventional procedures and offers diagnostic assistance by doing organ or body scans on patients. Accurately places and positions patients, and picks anatomical and technical factors.
- Assures that all surgeries on patients are conducted safely and efficiently. Radiation safety precautions are followed, and patients are immobilized if necessary. Keeping current with cardiac principles and clinical procedures.
- Consult an appropriate doctor if the patient is in discomfort, and then continue PI.
- Monitors records of pictures captured and routed to radiologist in order to guarantee that all findings are provided to the treating physician and patient, Organizes and stores all radiological pictures in accordance with the procedure
- Has the capacity to do both basic and complex percutaneous procedures simultaneously, such as peripheral interventions. An external pacemaker and defibrillator must be operated by someone who can recognize cardiac arrhythmias and react to emergency procedures appropriately. Intervenes with proper therapy in cardiac emergencies.
Skills:
- a license and/or a fluoroscopy permit, if the state requires it, Must know about state and federal rules, Current BCLS (AHA), Preferably one year of experience in acute clinical radiography, program that has been approved by JRCERT or ABHES
- Experience in Radiology of at least two years is highly desired, as is knowledge of all aspects of diagnostic imaging. Experience taking vital signs is a must.
- Registry eligibility as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technician (RT(R) or Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) (RCIS)
- Graduated from an accredited medical school or osteopathy school, and currently enrolled in a radiology residency program
- The proper board has issued a license. An American Board of Radiology fellow is required. A Medical Protective Association membership is required (or equivalent).
