We’re searching for a dynamic Junior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team and help us grow. You’ll be in charge of vendor onboarding, AP and AR invoice processing, monthly close reconciliations, and a variety of accounting initiatives in this position. Qualifications:
- By keeping financial information secret, it preserves trust and safeguards operations.
- This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and municipal financial legal obligations by researching current and future laws, ensuring regulatory adherence, and advising management on critical measures.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of excellent customer connections.
- Determine whether your revenue reporting corresponds to both contract and technical revenue recognition recommendations by examining your contracts.
- Assist in the settlement of accounting challenges using a solution-oriented approach.
- The junior accountant should assist with cash posting on a regular basis, including recording electronic transfers and book transfers via daily cash receipts, as well as obtaining the necessary documentation (e.g. distribution account, supporting emails)
- Make and keep up to date intercompany schedules so that interest calculations are correct and that management rules are followed. Look for and keep track of the right information, then (e.g. terms and accounts).
- Orally and in writing, he has excellent English communication skills.
- Depreciation schedules and journal entries are created and updated according to company standards (e.g. consistent application of accounts and depreciable lives).
- Assistance with the production of corporate and investment entity tax packages for submission to the tax department, including the debt parts of the tax packages.
Skills:
- In a fast-paced setting, the ability to perform well under pressure, manage several conflicting goals, and achieve deadlines
- VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables are advanced Microsoft Excel abilities.
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or finance is needed to get a job (equivalent experience considered)
- Has strong analytical abilities, is a natural mathematician, and has a keen eye for detail. Has worked with Great Plains ERP systems or other accounting software.
- It is necessary to have one year of experience in bookkeeping or an equivalent accounting or finance job.
