Job Description
The Cook will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities, including preparing high-quality food products and presenting them in an appealing manner according to company recipes, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and overseeing all areas to ensure proper food safety guidelines, including daily audits of food stands, kitchens, and food production areas. To maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, associates will observe proper sanitation.

Qualifications:
- Make short and long-term cash management strategies, as well as monthly and yearly cash flow estimates.
- Assists in the organization and cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including storage shelves, passageways, workstations, walk-ins, refrigerators, and coolers.
- A cook is in charge of setting up, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and manufacture of food and beverage items, as well as shutting and storing each work station.
- As needed, assist with cleaning equipment and dishwashing machines to ensure that all kitchen areas, tools, and utensils are clean.
- The Cook must be thorough, well-dressed, and professional, as well as a team player who works well with others.
- You must be able to lift 20 pounds, push/pull 40 pounds, and carry 30 pounds on a daily basis while standing and walking.
- Use the Executive Chef’s recipes to create high-quality hot and cold foods.
- In the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef, assumes leadership responsibility for safe and efficient kitchen operations.
- Meets the company’s scheduling requirements, which include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- To properly plan production requirements and request supplies and equipment, this person samples goods, reviews menus, estimates food requirements, verifies production, and keeps records.
Skills:
- If you are 18 years of age or older, you must be able to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, past employment, education, and personal references, as per Company policy, unless federal, state, or provincial legislation prohibits it.
- Must adhere to all state-mandated health department and food safety regulations, as well as the Executive Chef’s expectations, including HACCP and ServSafe concepts.
- Required: a high school diploma or equivalent; a culinary degree is desirable.
- For at least one year, you must have worked as a Cook in a high-volume, high-speed kitchen.
- Capable of prioritizing assignments and working together with several supervisors.
