Full-Time Lifestyle Reporter, CNBC Make It – Hyderabad
Job Description
The Reporter will be in charge of monitoring political developments, particularly, but not only, those involving state politics and governance. Both electoral politics and government are included in this. The Reporter will be required to regularly perform enterprise reporting to break exclusive stories, as well as file two to three articles a week on average about news-of-the-day events or topical concerns (e.g., at least every couple of weeks).

Qualifications:
- The reporter will also be expected to cover and find stories about the influence of money on politics, tracking donations, political action committees, lobbying, conflicts of interest, and other topics.
- Maintain regular communication with key players and organize events for the local artists.
- Communicate a vision and strategy for arts coverage by working closely with editors and content creators.
- Depending on the circumstances, you may also be asked to take photos, make videos, or even do live on-air reports to accompany your reporting.
- In this role, you will be responsible for pitching articles and completing responsibilities. Your superior will be the managing editor.
- Find and produce engaging arts stories for use on air, online, and on television and podcasts.
- stories that involve intersections of art, culture, and marginalized groups should be explored.
- As a tool for reporting and distribution, actively connect with social media and source networks.
- Maintain a regular filing schedule, which may include working late or on the weekend.
- It would also require understanding online state and federal reporting systems, keeping an eye on and researching public disclosure forms, and submitting records request forms.
Skills:
- English language proficiency and the capacity to convey specialized concepts to a broad audience
- education and/or experience equivalent to that gained via completion of a bachelor’s degree program and three years of professional journalism with an emphasis on arts reporting.
- Capacity to competently represent the station and operate effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- basic familiarity with audio production techniques and equipment
- Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency is also a plus. Knowledge of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and others is highly desired.
