Job Description
On capital projects, technology implementation projects, productivity, quality, and cost improvement projects, the Chemical Engineer is expected to work with the Engineering Leader and project teams to define and implement the most effective chemical process technology, providing technical solutions and process engineering expertise. Technology adoption, capacity improvements, technical advancements, cost and energy efficiency gains, sound manufacturing practises, and adherence to Process Safety regulations are all necessary for the chemical process. This job is also responsible for collaborating with Project Managers to ensure that the project team’s cost and timeline requirements are met.

Qualifications:
- Assist operations staff with technical assistance in real time.
- Any safety issues should be reported.
- At work, be a positive role model and influence.
- Make modifications to current equipment to increase product quality and operational safety.
- Test the effects of colour formulation and processing on the final outcome.
- Regularly review production history to give recommendations for increasing efficiency, enhancing quality, and minimising waste.
- Assistance with the monitoring of the plant’s operations.
- All safety actions must be supported and followed.
- Identifying and picking the most successful strategies and approaches from a variety of possibilities.
- Troubleshoot and design solutions to long-term or persistent problems with the help of other technical resources, or on your own.
Skills:
- You’ll have an edge if you’ve ever worked with electrochemistry or metal plating.
- Knowledge of handling and dilution of strong acids, bases, oxidizers, reducers, and other concentrated or hazardous chemicals.
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science engineering, or biochemical engineering.
- It’s essential to prove that you know how to use good scientific technique and construct experiments.
- Working knowledge of printed circuit boards.
