Job Description

As a Kitchen Manager, you will learn to grill meat and saute veggies. You must ensure our meal is excellent. Every day, the Kitchen Manager ensures the quality and safety of excellent meals. They make sure the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-stocked, and that the equipment is well-maintained. During the process, they train and develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Managers. On the clock, the Kitchen Manager is constantly busy achieving their station’s objectives, doing chores, and helping their coworkers.

  • Checklists and side work must be completed before coworker’s clock off, and they must be informed of their coworkers’ side jobs. Verifies the cleanliness of food preparation and serving areas to ensure that the food is safe and sanitary.
  • Plan your colleagues’ shifts to resemble those of a busy bar or restaurant. Predictive labor scheduling guarantees that all roles are fully occupied as needed while also meeting labor cost targets. Investigates requests for shift adjustments and special scheduling.
  • Maintain site profitability by following defined labor, COGS, and controllable cost rules and criteria.
  • Represent the brand and the principles of the firm with enthusiasm by consistently showing respect, civility, and compassion to both internal and external visitors.
  • Every employee must be able to correctly and passionately explain the restaurant’s food to customers.
  • Oversee the creation, instruction, implementation, and evaluation of culinary performance standards.
  • In addition, the Kitchen Manager ensures that the kitchen is cleaned on a regular basis, that food is correctly disposed of, and that the kitchen satisfies all hygienic regulations.
  • Implementing and monitoring the restaurant’s financial budget for culinary operations in close collaboration with other members of the restaurant management team, including the General Manager.
  • Ensure all coworkers are adequately trained at all stations within the kitchen, weekly/monthly inventory duties, year-round and specialty food menu, KDS system, and policies and procedures for food preparation, cleaning, and side work responsibilities.
  • Identifies, stocks, and dates prepared goods correctly and actively participates in the quality control of all food items. Maintains knowledge of all products/inventory in freezers and coolers, and aids in ensuring that all products/inventory are cycled appropriately to ensure freshness.


  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Docs/Forms proficiency is necessary. Ability to use a spreadsheet to manage inventories and execute basic data entry with meticulous attention to detail. Basic financial knowledge is required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience as a chef in the hospitality industry is required. Requirements for scheduling and staffing experience must be met.
  • As well as the ability to educate and manage a team, as well as function under duress It is necessary to work in a fast-paced atmosphere with a wide range of responsibilities and constantly shifting circumstances. Adaptability and quickness of mind are essential.
  • Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least two years of relevant job experience. Preference is given to those with a degree or certification from a recognized culinary school.
  • Capacity to communicate with coworkers and the general public in a professional, polite, and productive manner. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team are required.
