Job Description

In the absence of the Store Manager, the Key Holder opens and shuts a retail store. Provides retail management, monitoring, and direct assistance to customers, as well as ensuring that the shop’s look fulfills standards. Performs sales transactions and runs cash registers or credit/debit machines. POS transactions, merchandise handling, stock processing, and stockroom organization are all responsibilities. Receives, stores, and replaces sales floor products, as well as stockpiles it.

  • Assist store managers with sales calls outside of the shop. Ensure that all pages and phone calls are answered swiftly, respectfully, and efficiently.
  • Reconcile merchandise invoices with goods received, shipped, and transferred as necessary for proper inventory by accurately entering all receiving/shipping/transfer documentation into the computer system.
  • Maintain regular store maintenance, adhere to loss prevention standards, process receipts promptly, and maintain shelves stocked and merchandise priced appropriately.
  • Customers should feel motivated, encouraged, and driven to return to the business for more.
  • Greets and helps customers; answers professionally and promptly to client enquiries and complaints; handles customer questions/concerns. Maintains current knowledge of guiding concepts and POS system modifications.
  • This position’s tasks include tendering purchases, processing cash or credit payments, counting money, and providing customer service.
  • All processes for opening and shutting the business are done correctly. The key tasks of this role are to keep the sales floor, stock room, and exterior product area neat, orderly, and tidy.
  • Keeps up-to-date on payment and exchange rules, as well as security procedures and client demands in order to improve service while also lowering security risks.
  • At the same time, help other people meet their daily sales and productivity goals.
  • Assist your management team directly by executing your jobs with attention and quickness.


  • Capacity for establishing and maintaining excellent working connections with coworkers, departments, and the general public.
  • This includes being able to stand for long periods of time; walk; often push or pull; bend, crouch, crawl, or reach above one’s head; climb a ladder; and carry up to 40 pounds; for example, fixture components and cartons of merchandise.
  • This position requires at least three years of retail or customer service experience, as well as a drive to offer great customer service and sales.
  • Working on a variety of days and places as requested by the company (such as weekends and vacation times).
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word fluency, are essential, as as strong verbal and written communication skills.
