Job Description
Lifeguards are responsible for the monitoring and safety of pool users and spectators by teaching and encouraging safe leisure practices and attitudes, as well as enforcing safety laws and reacting appropriately to emergencies. Individuals must be able to operate individually as well as a member of a larger staff team. This work demands the ability to interact with the public in a range of scenarios in a polite and respectful manner. Special events, nights, weekends, and split hours may necessitate lifeguards.

Qualifications:
- Assist with activities such as accident prevention and offering water safety services as needed.
- Help maintain a range of accident reports by reading, writing, interpreting, and communicating in English in order to carry out the job’s obligations.
- Adheres to and enforces all Club safety rules and procedures for members and guests while using the pool area.
- Doing what the club does in the water, such as giving swimming lessons and supervising group swim activities.
- Pool house and gutters, as well as pool water chemicals, are looked after by the person who works at the pool.
- Customers and visitors are treated with respect and are given the information they need in a timely and efficient way by the customer service representative in their area of responsibility.
- Clean the pool, decks, chairs, and lifeguard equipment, as well as the bathhouse, fence, and flower beds, in preparation for the summer season.
- Assume responsibility for the pool deck, the break room, the restrooms, and the drains.
- Swimming classes and Family Hours are an excellent opportunity to ensure the safety and well-being of the pool’s guests.
- Follows all pool safety rules and procedures and makes sure that these safe working practices and procedures, as well as existing policies, rules and regulations, are adhered to.
Skills:
- Capacity to work with disabled children and adults.
- It is essential to be able to establish and maintain great working connections with coworkers, departments, and the general public.
- Before a lifeguard can be hired, they must have worked as one for at least three months.
- They must learn CPR, lifeguarding, and community first aid through the American Red Cross at this time.
- For this job, you must have a high school diploma or a GED.
