Manufacturing facility seeks Equipment Operator. The role sets up, operates, monitors, and maintains rewinding equipment, handles label rolls as they come off, and packs them into boxes and stacks them on pallets.

Qualifications:
- The utilization of material movement equipment is used to move and place raw materials and final components. As a reference for operating and maintaining your vehicle, use proper standard operating procedures.
- Uses and drives light to moderately complex equipment safely for City and utility maintenance. Safely uses and drives rubber-tired backhoe, tracked excavators and loaders, maintainers, bobcats, street sweepers, cranes, soil compactors, and front-end loaders. Excavates asphalt and concrete, clears debris and blockages from creeks, and maintains the sanitary sewer system.
- Cooperates with both internal and external clients, such as other departments within the company and outside groups like landowners or members of the general public. A person who is aware of and adheres to safe working practices As a member of a team, collaborates effectively.
- Employs huge equipment while according to corporate safety policies and procedures. Keeps meticulous records of frequent equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- maintain a safe and clean maintenance facility by performing everyday duties. After each usage, thoroughly clean your equipment. Report any problems with the equipment to the Equipment Technician.
- Safely use mowers, front-end loaders, and air hammers without endangering yourself or others. This includes manual labor such as mowing, repairing, and shoveling asphalt and snow.
- Performs minor mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on construction equipment to keep it in good working order.
- Loads, transports, and unloads construction supplies such as sand, flexbase, asphalt, gravel, and other materials from City stockpiles or suppliers to City sites in order to fulfill construction or maintenance projects.
- Transports earth moving or other medium to large sized automotive equipment to the work site while adhering to all applicable safety rules and regulations while driving a truck and trailer rig.
- Perform all responsibilities and/or activities related to the Equipment Operator role, including maintaining logs for each machine’s operation, maintenance, and gas use.
Skills:

- General building techniques, methods, supplies, and risk awareness are necessary for a job properly done. Manual dexterity and endurance are required.
- Education at the high school level, the General Educational Development (GED), or a comparable mix of education and experience, Two years’ experience in mechanical assembly, forklift operation, and/or the operation of other comparable types of machine equipment, Required must possess a current and active driver’s license.
- Must have worked as an Equipment Operator I for six months or in a similar job for one year. Work experience can be replaced by a degree in turfgrass management or a similar subject.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of being open, fair and inclusive with workers, partners and other stakeholders. The ability to operate and maintain power-driven equipment in a safe and efficient manner
