Job Description
The Production Artist’s main job is to make print and digital mechanicals. This individual will work closely with our internal studio team in addition to project managers, stakeholders, producers, art directors, and designers. Expertise in digital and print file setup is required for this position. At every stage of a project’s development, they must be able to think ahead and address potential problems before they arise. You need to be very methodical and focused on finding answers. They must also coordinate with both internal and external parties on specifications, file delivery, assets, costs, and billing.

Qualifications:
- Maintain the design intent for printed goods by collaborating with the graphic design, art, and industrial design teams.
- Get artwork ready for production in several formats and address any issues that may arise during production.
- Ability to take direction on creative campaigns and design derivative assets and resizes from established look & feel.
- As issues develop, you’ll need to work with the art department and the printer to find solutions.
- If you’re going to be proofreading technical packets for errors, you’ll need to be able to quickly diagnose and fix issues with artwork and decorations.
- Consistency in the use of brand elements across products and distribution channels is essential.
- It is your responsibility to create all submission materials, get them approved, and make any necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a systematic system of file revisions and keep your team informed of any changes made in production.
- Quickly and effectively addresses competing priorities and time constraints across a variety of projects.
- examines blueprints, recipes, and the suggested concept alongside the design team to ensure each design is completed to perfection.
Skills:
- MAC and any relevant programs, including the Illustrator and other programs from the Adobe Creative Suite, must be used with proven expertise.
- The software packages Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and FlightCheck are just a few examples of what you should know how to use effectively.
- Experience in graphic design, clothing design, and/or clothing product development of at least 2 years.
- You are confident in your ability to manage the print process with a vendor, ensuring that quality standards are met while meeting or beating deadlines.
- Possessing excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people of varying backgrounds and experience levels.
