Job Description
Facility maintenance services and operations such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical maintenance, HVAC maintenance and operations, and housekeeping will fall within your purview as a Facilities Technician. You will also be responsible for landscape/grounds upkeep.

Qualifications:
- Manage the facilities department’s work order system to schedule maintenance, projects, and general work orders in order to satisfy departmental goals.
- Identifies possibilities for complicated facility changes, making suggestions and work orders, and supervising execution to enhance customer experience and service levels.
- reviews daily records and ensures that technicians and related workers are maintaining the appropriate functioning of the central plant(s) and daily operations of the facility, which may include minor and sophisticated facility requirements.
- High-level data analytics and reporting features, as well as the incorporation and adjustment of alerts and trend sets.
- Models behaviors that contribute to a pleasant work environment and adds to the success of a team-oriented work unit.
- help facility assistants/technicians acquire a feeling of self-worth and competence in their work as facility assistants and technicians. An excellent strategy to maintain and excite personnel is via peer accountability.

Ensures that preventive maintenance checks are carried out on the department’s emergency systems, which may include HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, as necessary. For clarity on repairs, seeks out more information and reference materials, and, if required, escalates the situation to the Lead Tech/Supervisor.
Skills:
- Demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities via continuous evaluations of ability, competence, and performance to carry out the assigned work safely.
- Ability to do job activities that need standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in tiny openings and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 pounds, and working on ladders/lifts in environments prone to noise, heat, dust, or cold.
- language skills necessary to carry out the essential obligations of this profession, especially in connection to acts that affect patient or employee safety or security
- A high school diploma or an equivalent education is required (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- Knowledge in at least one trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling, and general upkeep, to a high level of proficiency.
