Job Description
Under the direction of the Manager Practice Operations, Medical Office Manager, Academic Program of Manager, Academic Nurse Manager, and/or Practice Site Supervisor, the Front Office Assistant assists with the day-to-day operations of the ambulatory/physician office, including patient registration, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, and patient referrals.

Qualifications:
- Organization and dissemination to the relevant employees of faxes, interoffice forms, queries, and other communication methods.
- Accuracy in working together as a team and helping others when needed.
- Examine and confirm the expertise of the front-desk workers. Identify performance concerns, escalate them, and work with the Supervisor and/or Practice Manager to resolve them.
- Maintains fairly regular and timely attendance in accordance with Company policy, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analytical reports are made and data from analysts is put into a computer system to make a final report that is ready for the client. Reports are made in the order that the department managers and/or the office manager want them to be made.
- Individuals who work in an office setting may be assigned additional jobs. These tasks might include copying and distributing messages, creating spreadsheets, or entering data.
- This position’s responsibilities include screening and directing visitors through the institution’s front office using Covid-19 technology.
- It is critical for this role to be able to multitask when answering phones and taking messages.
- Within your knowledge and competence limits, perform any additional or incidental obligations assigned by the management team.
- Adheres to and ensures adherence to company and department-specific policies, procedures, value statements, and Commitment to Excellence standards, as well as any other applicable standards.

- It is necessary to be able to build and maintain good working connections with coworkers, departments, and members of the public.
- This position need complete COVID-19 immunization. To guarantee compliance, UnitedHealth Group will follow all federal, state, and local legislation, as well as any client needs, and will collect appropriate evidence of immunization prior to employment.
- Excel and Word proficiency, as well as strong verbal and written communication abilities, are necessary for this role.
- Additionally, the ability to demonstrate proficient use of a practice management computer system at a pace of about 30 words per minute is necessary.
