Job Description

To meet changing needs, the Financial Specialist will collaborate with the company’s operations, controllership, IT and relevant compliance departments to create new apps, procedures or reporting solutions. They will be involved at every step of the project’s lifespan, from analysis and design through implementation and stability. This role demands an experienced project/process expert, an in-depth understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work in a team environment.. The chosen applicant will have proved their ability to work with cross-functional, global teams; produce outcomes; take acceptable risks; and collaborate with partners throughout the firm in a collaborative decision-making approach.

Qualifications:

  • Update management and users on project progress, timing, and issues to achieve buy-in for systems/solution integration and process reengineering activities.
  • Regularly check the database of payroll deductions and use reports from the billing administrator to make sure that vendors are paid correctly. Monthly summaries and reports on payroll deductions, benefit plans, and bills are made using pivot tables and spreadsheets. These summaries and reports are checked for accuracy, and vendor payments are made accordingly. An ad-hoc analysis is done as needed.
  • People at all levels of management and end-users should be informed of project progress, timing, and issues so they may assist in systems/solution integration and process reengineering initiatives.
  • Assistance with monthly administrative activities, such as fee calculations and spreadsheets for rolling monthly reporting, will be provided by the Associate Analyst.
  • Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) Program management and analysis of financial programs and issues.
  • Forms and reports used in transactional accounting include journal entries, expenditure reclassifications, and cash receipts, all of which must be completed or processed.
  • Work with PCMI, Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT), and individual accounts to process and confirm manual changes made to the HealthCare Processing System’s group ledger (COBRA).
  • Enable forward-looking financial and compliance activities to be effectively supported with the necessary resources.
  • It is important for this person to be able to make sure that agency-wide policies and controls are in place to make sure that funds are acquired, allocated, distributed, used, and spent properly.
  • Maintaining track of the status and growth of projects, as well as doing quality assurance checks on the work you’re doing and the completed result, ensures that everything is as it should be, according to your job description.

Skills:

  • Experience in the accounting or finance industry may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline if the candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Excellent project management skills, shown through managing complex projects involving global teams.
  • Work with a healthcare system that is not yet on the market as well as end-user office applications like calendaring and word processing
  • Planning and managing your finances requires an understanding of a variety of ideas and methods that you should be familiar with.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coach, encourage, and guide subordinate colleagues in the use of automated data processing principles, system capabilities, and cost-effective methods to successfully fulfil tasks.
