An office file clerk is responsible for creating various sorts of papers such as letters, invoices, statements, cheque and other financial records by handwriting, typing or inputting data into a computer system. Form letters, spreadsheets, flow charts, work-papers, and envelopes are just some of the office documents that the clerical and typing specialist processes. Verifies data for correctness and completeness against existing records, publishes information to records or ledgers, and issues equipment. Accommodates the needs of callers and aids them with any general issues or concerns that they may have.

Validation templates and cross-checking with source documents may assist you uncover any errors.
  • Examining the status of client applications is required to ensure that rules and procedures are being followed. Ascertain the validity of a claim and do the necessary verifications.
  • Answers phones, redirects calls, or takes correct and comprehensive messages. Greets callers and supports them with common concerns or complaints.
  • The amount of money earned by the client is taken into consideration when determining how many hours of care the client is entitled to. Clients may be required to complete essential documents in order to maintain their eligible status.


  • It is important to know how to order and pay your bills, as well as how to use various software programs to complete your work.
  • As a manager, you must be able to deal with a broad diversity of personalities, appearances, and communication styles.
  • Ability to type on a computer keyboard is required for the creation of reports, timetables and other suitable paperwork.
  • It is necessary to work correctly and with attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
  • Obtain a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or gain one to three months of comparable experience and/or training; or obtain an equivalent mix of education and experience.
