Job Description
All allocated equipment must be maintained by the Facilities Technician, who reports to the Facilities Supervisor and contributes to the care of the company’s facilities and grounds. Problem solves and repairs a broad range of sophisticated firm facilities and grounds, such as parking lots and ditches as well as other relevant regions. Repairing doors and door hardware is only one example of the wide range of services that may be included in maintenance.

Qualifications:

- Identifies potential for complicated facility upgrades, giving suggestions and work orders, and supervising execution to enhance the customer experience and service levels.
- The facilities department may plan maintenance, projects, and general work orders to satisfy important criteria for the department by using a work order management system.
- Make decisions about how a team’s work is done by allocating routine, operational responsibilities in accordance with defined priorities.
- Checks daily logs to make sure technicians and other workers keep the central plants and daily operations of the facility running smoothly, as well as small and big problems with the facility.
- Repair and maintain buildings, structures, and grounds in a range of semi-skilled and skilled capacities. Assist with any building-related difficulties that arise (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- In order for facility assistants/technicians to succeed, they must have a good self-image. An excellent technique to keep your workers motivated and satisfied is via peer accountability.
- Analysis, troubleshooting, and sophisticated maintenance repairs are all part of the job description. Ensures that systems and equipment are installed correctly and in accordance with applicable laws, ordinances, and legislation. Preventative maintenance checks of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems are performed as needed, and department emergency systems are maintained and tested as necessary. For clarity on repairs, seeks for more information and reference materials, and, if required, escalates the situation to the Lead Tech/Supervisor for further clarification.
- This position’s responsibilities include setting up alerts and trends, as well as high-level data analysis and alarm reporting.
Skills:
- The equivalent of a high school diploma (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- Consistently demonstrates the essential knowledge, talents, and skills in order to successfully do the work at hand.
- have a lot of experience in at least one trade. This could be carpentry or plumbing or electrical or painting or roofing or heating and cooling or general maintenance.
- The ability to speak, read, and write well in English is vital for this position, particularly when it comes to actions that might jeopardize patient or staff safety or security.
- Working in noisy, dusty, or frigid conditions, lifting 50 lbs., and standing, squatting, kneeling, and twisting one’s upper body are all part of the job, as are working in small spaces with one’s hands tied behind one’s back while doing so.
