Job Description
The Facilities Technician works for the Facilities Supervisor and helps with the upkeep of the company’s buildings and grounds. He or she is also in charge of all the equipment that is assigned to him or her. Performs a wide range of complex tasks to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all of the company’s facilities and grounds, including roads, parking lots, ditches, and other parts of the grounds. In addition to general cleaning, painting, flooring, door and door hardware repair and other maintenance work, there are many other things that need to be done.

Qualifications:
- Checks daily logs to make sure technicians and other workers keep the central plants and daily operations of the facility running smoothly, as well as small and big problems with the facility.
- Delegate routine, operational tasks to members of a team based on agreed priorities.
- Setup and adjustment of alerts, as well as high-level data analytics and reporting of alarms.
- Be a role model for actions that foster a supportive work environment and help the department’s team concentrate on achieving its objectives.
- Repairs and analyzes complex machinery. Installs systems and equipment in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Evacuation systems, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical and plumbing. If further information is required, the issue may be escalated to the Lead Tech/Supervisor.
- Manage the work order system to make sure that PMs, projects, and general work orders get done on time to meet the needs of the facilities department.
- Assures complete entity monitoring via rounding and problem management; discovers chances for complicated facility enhancements by offering suggestions and work orders and supervising their implementation in order to enhance the customer experience and service standards.
- Assists in the development of mutual understanding and role modeling by example via open, professional (verbal and nonverbal) communication Clear and professional communication promotes both work efforts and issue solutions, ensuring the best possible service for every client and patient.
- Repair and maintain buildings, structures, and grounds in a range of semi-skilled and skilled capacities. Assist with any building-related difficulties that arise (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- In order for facility assistants/technicians to succeed, they must have a good self-image. An excellent technique to keep your workers motivated and satisfied is via peer accountability.
Skills:
- have a lot of experience in at least one trade. This could be carpentry or plumbing or electrical or painting or roofing or heating and cooling or general maintenance.
- Equivalent to high school graduation or a General Educational Development (GED) certification (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- Demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities via continuous evaluations of ability, competence, and performance to carry out the assigned work safely.
- Sufficient ability in speaking, reading, and writing English is required to execute the fundamental responsibilities of this profession, particularly those affecting patient or staff safety or security.
- This profession requires the capacity to bend and twist one’s upper body, operate in cramped spaces with little space, and climb hand over hand to get through small spaces, as well as the ability to lift 50 pounds.
