Qualifications:
- Make sure the business plan for the organization is strong enough to make the most money for shareholders, in line with our cooperative principles.
- Ensure team members flourish and that corporate objectives are reached by monitoring employee productivity and creating a highly inclusive culture.
- It is your job to make sure that the association’s controls, finances, and operations are being closely watched on a regular basis (i.e., capital requirements, asset quality requirements, management and staff effectiveness, earnings requirements and liquidity requirements).
- Do everything you can to make sure the company is profitable and to keep up the record of careful, lean financial management that it has. It’s important to look at the organization’s structure and operations after strategic planning and make changes if they need to be made. Improve and think outside the box when it comes to how the organization uses technology in all of its work. To protect the organization and the public’s trust, make sure that everyone who works for the organization does a good job and sticks to very high standards.
- It is essential to make sure that all workers or associates of the firm are aware of the company’s beliefs and goals (all levels of employees, customers, the board, Farm Credit Administration, funding bank and communities, etc.).
- All financial, operational, personnel, and marketing challenges and actions must be promptly and accurately communicated to the board of directors.
- Manage the organization’s operations at the local level by developing and implementing local operating procedures and programs and by implementing management systems, controls, and standards in their implementation.
- Working knowledge of operating budgets and financial statements as a managerial tool.
- Make sure that the organization’s culture attracts, retains, and inspires a diverse and well-trained workforce by being an inspirational, approachable, and supportive leader for your staff. Make sure that communication and decision-making are done with rigor, high quality, clarity, and openness. Keep departments talking to each other in a positive and collaborative way. Make sure that technology is used in the workplace.
