Job Description
An Engineering Technician will write test execution and analysis code and scripts in python, C, C++, bash shell, or any other language appropriate for the job. These scripts/code will run tests, collect test artefacts, process test artefacts to determine pass/fail status, and record the results in a stack. Work will be done on the stack to consume and visualize data as well as report on KPIs (KPIs). They will be able to work independently, document and present their findings, and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications:
- Analyzes a range of engineering and operational data to support County infrastructure; compile, study and analyze staking out design components in the field for building projects and participating in field and topographical surveys for design assignments road condition evaluation and remedial procedures to repair or resurface roads; ensuring that on-site construction is completed in accordance with the plans and specifications laid forth for it; is in charge of several fiefs.
- Calculates ratios, volumes, angles, grades, construction quantities, and other project components as required by the given project; offers cost estimates; and validates calculations supplied by third-party contractors utilizing deep knowledge of engineering principles and methods.
- Responds to and fixes malfunctioning or broken-down mechanical equipment.. Identifying and resolving issues (when necessary). Replaces worn or faulty components, motors, and control devices, amongst other things. Replaces.
- Electronic and paper records of daily operations, as well as full project records and design/drawing files on given projects, are the responsibility of the incumbent. Database files must be updated as appropriate.

- Analyses property documents such as legal descriptions and permits; creates or updates various maps using CAD; gathers information on grant, permit and environmental laws compliance; translates and/or interprets maps; and prepares and/or updates different maps.
- Engineers that work in this field use GPS, GIS, and CADD software to plan and build huge and complex engineering projects that are linked to public infrastructure. They develop comprehensive engineering drawings as well as maps, plats, and other displays.
- Inquiries into a broad variety of residential and commercial plans for compliance with local legislation and building standards, as well as evaluations of designs and preliminary findings on technical compliance difficulties. Coordinating with third-party architects and engineers to resolve issues and offer guidance for code compliance; analyzing and/or correcting deviations or violations; and providing recommendations for approval and/or corrections
- Preparation of project contract papers; preparation of all necessary permits and documentation, preparation of all required permits for the construction of the project. Review of materials and labor costs to check correctness. Technical advice throughout construction.
- Provides engineering-related customer service; interacts with professional design consultants; plans public outreach and creates information for distribution; draughts letters and bulk mailings for project explanations; and responds to citizen concerns, enquiries, and complaints.
Skills:
- To be considered for this post, you must have a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience working as a sub professional in the field of civil engineering or surveying.
