Job Description
In the home building process, the Drywall Finisher completes the manufacturing production tasks assigned to their team. To guarantee that production is as efficient and safe as possible, this role follows conventional production processes and maintains safe work habits.

Qualifications:
- Adherence to established safety norms and rules in order to maintain a safe and clean environment. At all times, personal protective equipment (PPE) should be carried (PPE).
- Maintaining open lines of contact with your supervisor and reporting any job-related issues; ensuring that all equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
- Trowels, wide knives, and spatulas are all necessary tools for applying sealing compound between boards or panels or over cracks, holes, nail heads, or screw heads.
- Apply texturizing compounds or primers to walls or ceilings with trowels, brushes, rollers, or a texture hopper before final finishing. Use metal molding at the wall corners to attach wallboard and metal structural components.
- Productivity: Work as part of a team to create items that meet our quality requirements while meeting our productivity goals.
- Paints, fixes vinyl wallpaper, stains, and applies different finishes to interior surfaces in order to beautify and protect them (roller, brush, and spray applications). Prepares and polishes walls and other surfaces with hand and power tools, restores damaged wood and metal doors, and conducts Finisher-related activities.
- Work with other tradespeople and subcontractors to execute high-quality maintenance in a timely and economical manner while communicating and working with supervisors and customers.
- Protecting our company’s physical assets from damage and misuse, reporting any needed repairs, and keeping your assigned area clean and organized are all examples of stewardship.
- Meeting all attendance standards, being on time at the start of the shift, and adhering to the division’s attendance policies are all essential.
- Help your Team Leader and Region Coordinator plan and organize the production operations in your area by discussing expected shortages of materials, identifying essential tool maintenance, and addressing any quality or productivity issues.
Skills:
- Lifting up to 40 pounds, gripping, working above head, pulling at chest level, bending, standing, and walking
- Experience in building and/or manufacturing is preferred.
- Students interested in these vocations should take classes in carpentry, shop, mechanical drawing, and basic mathematics in high school, according to the experts.
- The ideal applicant will have a strong sense of leadership and a strong willingness to learn and improve.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are required.
