Job Description
Cleaning and general maintenance are performed by the Drywall Finisher under the supervision of a supervisor to provide a safe and visually pleasant environment. Performs preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and services on a variety of building systems independently. Participates in the entire building management program to deliver high-quality, low-cost service with a strong focus on customer happiness.

Qualifications:
- Painting (with rollers, brushes, or spray applications), repairing vinyl wallpaper, staining wood, and applying other finishing materials are some of the methods used to completely finish interior surfaces in order to improve and preserve them. Surface finishes walls and surfaces using hand and power tools, and repairs and replaces damaged wood and metal doors, among other Finisher-related tasks.
- Maintaining communication with your supervisor and reporting any job-related difficulties, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
- Spread sealing compound between boards or panels or over cracks, holes, nail heads, or screw heads with trowels, broad knives, or spatulas.
- Work with the supervisor, customer, other trades, and subcontractors to deliver quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance.
- Ensuring that the workplace is free of hazards by following established safety standards and regulations. At all times, make sure you have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) (PPE).
- Quality and productivity go hand in hand when you work in a group. This is how you achieve both.
- Protecting our company’s physical assets from damage and misuse, reporting any needed repairs, and keeping your assigned area clean and organized are all examples of stewardship.
- Before final finishing, apply texturizing chemicals or primers to walls or ceilings with trowels, brushes, rollers, or a texture hopper. Use metal molding at wall corners to attach wallboard and metal structural components.
- Help your Team Leader and Area Coordinator plan and organize your area’s production operations by discussing expected material shortages, tool maintenance needs, and quality or productivity issues.
- Be on time at the start of the shift and follow the division’s attendance requirements and procedures.
Skills:
- High school courses in carpentry, shop, mechanical drawing, and basic algebra are all strongly recommended.
- Knowledge in the construction and/or manufacturing industries is desired.
- The applicant must have a strong sense of self-confidence and leadership, as well as continual education and growth of one’s abilities, in order to succeed.
- It is necessary to have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as do other physical tasks.
