Qualifications:
- To apply texture chemicals or primers to walls or ceilings before final finishing, use tools like trowels, brushes, rollers and the texture hopper. Wallboard and structural metal components may be held in place by using corner metal moldings.
- Be on time and adhere to the division’s attendance regulations.
- Collaborate with others to develop items that meet our quality requirements while also meeting our productivity goals.
- Serving as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, avoiding damage and misuse, reporting any needed repairs, and keeping your assigned area clean and organized are all examples of stewardship.
- Planning: Assist your Team Leader and Area Coordinator in planning and organizing your area’s production operations by addressing predicted material shortages, identifying critical tool maintenance, and communicating any quality or productivity difficulties.
- To embellish and preserve interior surfaces, performs a wide range of finishing operations, including painting (roller, brush, and spray applications), vinyl wallpaper restoration, staining, and application of other finishes. Using hand and power tools, prepares and finishes walls and surface areas, fixes damaged wood and metal doors, and completes Finisher-related tasks.
- Ensuring that the workplace is free of hazards by following established safety standards and regulations. At all times, make sure you have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) (PPE).
- This person interacts and collaborates with the supervisor, the customer, and other trades and subcontractors to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance.
- For distributing sealing compound between boards or panels, or over cracks, holes, nail heads, or screw heads, trowels, broad knives, and spatulas are all important instruments.
- Keeping in touch with your supervisor and reporting any job-related issues, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
Skills:
- It is critical to be able to understand architectural and technical drawings.
- As a high school student, it is advised that you take classes in carpentry, shop class, mechanical drawing, and basic math.
