Qualifications:
- Translators must ensure that the original meaning, tone, and aim of a piece of writing have not been altered.
- To facilitate communication between parents and teachers at parent-teacher conferences, school gatherings, and other events, an interpreter is on hand to provide translation services.
- As a way of ensuring that medical and technical terminology is accurately translated, the translator examines and evaluates it in both its original tongue and its intended target tongue.
- In this position, you’ll be responsible for checking the work of district translators. Schools and translation consultants alike may benefit from this instrument’s teachings.
- Translations of any kind, including flyer, social media posts, district-wide announcements/press releases, and other documents, must be accurate.
- Worker assessment results, hours worked, training status, and other relevant data are stored and maintained in a database for the temporary workforce.
- Carry out secretarial activities such as taking phone calls, welcoming visitors, answering general inquiries, opening and sorting mail, establishing purchase order requisitions, confirming invoices and preparing stipends for payment, among others.
- Use reference resources to your advantage. A solid understanding of Microsoft Office, as well as basic internet skills, are required to produce written translations and commodities.

Skills:
- The ability to drive and the willingness to use a personal car while giving interpretation services in educational and community situations are required.
- It is vital to be able to converse successfully in two languages at the native speaker level, as well as to be aware of the cultural context in which those languages are spoken.
- Ability to speak in a designated language at a conversational level or above, enabling constituents with limited English language proficiency to participate fully in the process stated.
- Communication skills should be engaged and encouraged while engaging with supervisors, workers, students, and others to communicate information.
- In addition to a bachelor’s degree in translation or a foreign language, a candidate must exhibit a capacity to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
