Qualifications:

- Using the control panel, you can keep track of what’s going on and make changes to the process. Follow all safety rules and regulations while doing regular preventative maintenance.
- Understand and follow corporate, customer, and health/safety rules, as well as weight and size standards and any other applicable legislation. These are items that the candidate should be aware of.
- The following tools will be used: chains, nylon slings, pallet lifters, magnets, vacuum lifters, Posi-turner, spreader bar, softeners, tape measure, hammer, punches, pliers, crescent wrench, and paint stick marker.
- Collaborate with riggers and truck drivers to lift products and other cargo using radio or visual signals and other means of communication.
- Work as a Rigger can only be done after both the main job and the Crane Operator responsibilities have been performed.
- Examines the crane for damaged parts and informs the supervisor of any issues. Maintains a clean and functional crane and lifting mechanism.
- In order to properly place and unhook rigging, blast a horn and communicate with the crane operator. Then, guide the cargo to its final destination.
Skills:
- Prior experience operating a cab and bridge crane (or a crane of a comparable sort) from heights of 30 feet or greater and spans of 60 feet or greater is required.
- Guarantee that safety and housekeeping criteria are met, machine capacities aren’t exceeded, and all necessary supplies and equipment are properly accounted for at the conclusion of each workday..
- In order to ensure that the physical health and capacity to fulfil the tasks of this job are maintained, a pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Equipment operating expertise of at least 1-2 years is required.
- NCCCO or CIC certification The DOT’s medical card is legitimate. It is necessary to get certificates or permissions from the Safety Department, Equipment Manager, or Operations Manager. A license is required by local law (DC requires operators to be licensed). You must pass the practical test.
