Job Description

As a connection between the residents of our assisted living facility and the hospital, doctors, community groups, and other health-related service providers, the Healthcare Administrator performs this role. It is also the responsibility of this position to ensure the physical and mental well of the inhabitants is maintained while adhering to all applicable requirements set out by federal, state, and local authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Initiates and oversees the implementation of programs and activities for the residents of the healthcare facility. He is in charge of overseeing junior supervisors, as well as extra workers and volunteers, at the Healthcare Center.
  • Patients and providers alike benefit from daily rounding that is visible and present. It is possible to remove roadblocks and difficulties in routine operations in a timely and efficient manner. Consider the demands of your customers and your budget when deciding on a personnel plan. Encourage involvement and input from employees by creating a positive work environment.
  • Collaborates with the other department managers in the community to ensure that resident’s get the best possible care at all times.
  • Establishes and maintains a cooperative, trusting relationship with physicians/providers by interacting and collaborating with them on a frequent basis to give guidance and monitoring of effective scheduling, efficient clinic work flow, and patient flow.
  • Oversees the implementation of work plans and long and short-term goals by subordinates. Changes to supporting processes and systems, as well as infrastructure at the site level. The site’s objectives are executed and accomplished.
  • If a patient complaint has to be escalated, look into the problem, assess potential hazards, come up with a solution that is both safe and effective, and address clinical care difficulties, among other factors.
  • People are managed in a number of ways, from recruiting and training to allocating work, supervising and assessing performance, and establishing professional development programs. Consistently complies with and supports the department’s overall operating goals, as set by the department’s senior leadership.
  • Personnel, revenue, and/or costs are budgeted and adhered to in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures. Responds to changes inside the organization that might put the company’s ability to accomplish budget goals in jeopardy.
  • It’s simpler for managers to conduct things like deliver performance assessments, enforce workplace regulations, and deal with employee difficulties now that there are technologies to help with both staff recruitment and training.

Skills:

  • Must be a natural leader who is able to work well with and manage people well.
  • Knowledge of pertinent state and federal regulations (including those governing Medicare reimbursement), nursing practices and procedures, and all applicable laws, regulations, and standards governing long-term care administration.
  • Health care, business administration, or a closely connected subject, with a bachelor’s degree, is greatly desired.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Health services management and/or resident services management experience of at least two years is required.
